Laboratory of Molecular and Biochemical Genetics

The Laboratory of Molecular and Biochemical Genetics was among the first life science research laboratories established in the newly-founded School of Biological Sciences in the year 2002. Nucleic Acids, in particular double-stranded deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), and proteins which act on nucleic acids are at center stage of research in this laboratory. The laboratory has a strong commitment to molecular medicinal approaches.
